Ben Lomond Lodge
Ben Lomond Lodge operates from mid September to the end of April, suiting self guided hiking and mountain biking as well as large group exclusive bookings.
Ben Lomond lodge sleeps up to 35 people in twin share rooms across 5 A-framed chalets and a dorm room.
With a huge lawn, large outdoor wood fired BBQ and shared dining and lounge it is a fantastic place for small or large groups of hikers and mountain bikers to come together and enjoy being immersed in the expansive high country. The functional spaces are well designed to accommodate a work function, family reunion, gathering of multiple families or a team building retreat. Exclusive use with or without catered meals can be booked.

Ben Lomond Lodge sits on an expansive terrace above the Moonlight River, deep in the high country north of Queenstown. To the south, Ben Lomond and Bowen Peak make up the skyline, with Mt Gilbert to the north.
The real magic of Ben Lomond Lodge lies in its accessibility to the remote and private high country, as a comfortable base to explore the range of spectacular ridge lines, beech forest trails, Moonlight River swimming holes and fascinating gold mining history.

The lodge can be accessed by foot, mountain bike or e-bike (charging available at small additional cost). 4WD or helicopter access by arrangement (weather dependent).

Guests can either walk, mountain bike, self drive (4WD vehicle essential) or helicopter to the Lodge – Driving takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Queenstown. We can drive you to the Lodge from Queenstown or organise for you to fly in by helicopter.
A 4WD tour of the property with commentary on the gold-mining, farming and ecological history.
A scenic helicopter flight to Milford Sound and Martins Bay or a glacier flight with snow landing.
